My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising
On March 23, 2019, it was announced that My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising, the sequel to the successful first movie, would be released. My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission
It was announced on November 29, 2020, that a third animated movie was being made. With the title My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission, it debuted on August 6, 2021 in Japan and on October 29, 2021, it started showing in the US and Canada. The movie has taken in over $47 million globally and is now Japan’s tenth highest-grossing domestic film of 2021.
A doomsday cult called Humarise predicts that Quirks will grow strong enough to put at risk humankind. They have deliberately dropped “Trigger” gas-filled bombs all over the world in an attempt to destroy them. To find and defuse the bombs, the World Heroes Association dispatches Pro Heroes and U.A. High Hero Course students. The mission assigned to Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki is to sneak into Humarise’s Otheon headquarters. Izuku and Rody escape a jewel heist and an assault on Alan Kay, a scientist from Humarise, by fellow agent Beros. They find sanctuary in Klayd, where they discover a USB device with a kill code to turn off bombs. Humarise plans to set off the last bombs in two hours. Izuku defeats Humarise’s leader, Flect Turn, and uses the USB device to stop the bombs. Heroes are treated, and Humarise members are captured. Izuku leaves for Japan, while Rody aspires to become a pilot.
